Inspect the Water Pump for Loose Hose Clamps

Determine if the Water Pump Housing is Cracked

A cracked water pump housing should be repaired as soon as possible in order to prevent the crack from affecting the entire unit. On the other hand, if you are confident about your own handiwork, you can either replace the entire pump housing or you can try to repair it yourself if the housing is made of aluminum or some other type of metal. If the housing is made of metal, you can try to weld or solder the crack in order to seal it.
